Common Q&As About Our Services and Dentistry In-General
Everyone’s needs vary, so talk to your dentist about how often you should have your teeth examined by them depending on the state of your mouth, teeth, and gums. It is advised that children visit their dentist at least once a year.
In general, your dentist can recommend six-monthly check-ups, or even more regularly if you are predisposed to gum disease or cavities. Diabetes, smoking, and a family history of dental problems such as plaque buildup and decay are all high-risk factors.
Some issues would not be apparent to you at home, which is why it is important to have daily check-ups (this is doubly true if you have a history of decay). For example, gum disease sometimes occurs without people’s knowledge, and they may not act on it until they experience bleeding gums or extreme pain.
There are some warning signs that you can identify on your own. Keep an eye out for:
- Swollen, tender, bleeding while brushing or flossing, or red gums (gums should be a pale pink colour)
- Oral pain, especially while chewing, and persistent bad breath
- Teeth that are unusually sensitive to temperature, loose teeth, and a strong poor taste in the mouth
If you experience any of these symptoms, please contact Elevate Dental today on (02) 9671 7201.
Yes – we are a registered HICAPS provider, which allows you to claim benefits on the spot. Since various insurers offer different rebates, you can need to contact the company to learn what you may assert.
Veneers are thin, tooth-coloured porcelain or glass/plastic layers that are attached to the front of your teeth and can be a good choice if you have teeth with holes, that are scratched, discoloured, missing or chipped, that are crowded-in or crooked, that are improperly formed or are misaligned.
We recognise that visiting a dental office can be stressful for anxious patients. That is why we sell inhalation sedation to ensure you never miss another dental exam.
These approaches include inhalation sedation and happy gas, and they are excellent for relieving patient anxiety or making longer procedures in the chair more comfortable. If you have any concerns about inhalation sedation or are worried about visiting the dentist, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly reception staff.
